Pat graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts with honors. He then graduated from DePaul University, School of Law. Pat has more than 100 jury trials and 300 plus bench trials to his credit. As Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney, Pat’s assignments included Criminal Appeals, Misdemeanor Courts, Felony Review Unit, Preliminary Hearings and Felony Trial Courts. As Assistant Illinois Attorney General Pat assisted in the trial of criminal prosecutions throughout the state of Illinois. While serving as Assistant Cook County State’s attorney Pat’s assignments included, Deputy Felony Review, Felony Trial Supervisor, Chief of Criminal Bureau and Chief Deputy Criminal Prosecutions. In Pat’s time as Cook County Circuit Court Judge his assignments included Traffic Court, Misdemeanor Court, Felony Preliminary Hearing Court and Civil Municipal Court. Pat’s appointments include City of Chicago, Liquor Commission Hearing Officer and City of Chicago, Attorney for the Police Board. Pat’s Bar Admissions from 1975-Present, State of Illinois, 1984-Present, United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, 1993-Present, United States Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
