Timothy Black, Associate Attorney
Timothy Black is our senior staff attorney, focusing on defending clients in state, federal, and administrative courts. He joined LauraLaw in Park Ridge immediately upon graduating from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2013. Since then, he has gained valuable experience defending a wide variety of criminal defendants, including clients charged with drug crimes, violent crimes, sex crimes, and DUI and traffic crimes, in addition to helping clients clear their criminal record of misdemeanor and felony offenses and get their driver’s license back, and representing law enforcement officers in disciplinary investigations, disciplinary hearings, and criminal court. He has participated in a wide variety of evidentiary hearings, bench trials, and jury trials, and has written innumerable motions and appellate briefs, developing a long track record of success.
When Tim graduated from 8th grade, he told his teacher that when he grew up, he wanted to be a criminal defense attorney so that he could represent people that were being accused and ostracized by their community. Never losing the desire to hold the government to its burden and protect the rights of the criminally accused, Tim has spent his entire life not only learning the art of legal advocacy but learning how to relate to people of all walks of life with all kinds of backgrounds. Growing up in the resort town of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, Tim spent his entire adolescence learning customer service and hospitality, which helps him fit in nicely with the client-focused atmosphere at LauraLaw and adds to the culture of individualized service you can expect from this office.
