Following our posts regarding summer festival activities, this weekend is our local Taste of Park Ridge! The three day fest began yesterday and is sure to be a great event. In the past there has been some trouble at the Taste, specifically last year when a mob of teenagers assaulted an adult man at Hinkley Park. Read the full story at CBSChicago. This year, however, according to the Chicago Tribune, there will be Park District staff members monitoring the park during the event as well as teen-oriented activities and so there is sure to be no problems!

For those of legal age, be sure to stop by the Maine Township Beverage Booth where Laura will be working! Be careful not to wander out of the event with your drink or you may face charges for carrying an open container of alcohol. And please remember that those under age 21 cannot legally consume alcohol in the state of Illinois.

In other news, we celebrated our legal secretary Maddy’s birthday! Maddy makes sure everything at the office is organized and running smoothly and without her we would all be lost. So its only fitting that we took some time out of our work day to enjoy this Friday with a small birthday party for Maddy at the office! Maddy keeps us sane and organized and, as the cake says, she is our Head Honcho!
