Happy Thanksgiving From the Law Offices of Laura Morask

As I said last year, at this very hectic time we rarely slow down enough to express thanks for everything we are grateful for, whether it is that you are thrilled your college son made it home on a flight having lost his government issued ID a week before TDAY, or thankful for your wonderful friends and family, thankful that a friend or family member or yourself recovered from an illness, thankful for the tiny moments in between life’s really hectic pace where we allow ourselves to give ourselves a little credit for the fact that at least you got out of bed on that horribly cold rainy Monday, got dressed and showed up and probably in the grand scheme of things changed or made happy another person’s life by merely smiling at them or listening to them!  Or just thankful that at least the Christmas music did not start at Halloween! So here at my law offices we really wanted to thank all of you who have made this third career possible and who have given untold amounts of help, advice, encouragement or just atta boys! We are also incredibly grateful to all our clients who have put their trust, faith, and lives in our hands to try to solve their problems and make their lives better. Most of all, I am thankful and incredibly grateful to all my families; my personal family, my work family  and my wonderful friends family who have stood by me for over five decades. (Ok, I am starting  to sound like a Hallmark greeting card!)

For your holiday enjoyment here is a picture of Maddy, myself, and Tim in our Thanksgiving eve attire! Please take note of Santa photo bombing! Since the holidays are collapsing upon each other more and more we just decided to skip the turkey décor and Maddy cheered us all up last Thursday by decorating.154

And in honor of Small Business Saturday, I thought I would give a shout out to my neighbor Nick who owns Perry’s Pizzeria and Ribs and was hard at work stringing lights for Friday’s
Park Ridge Winterfest!

And of course, extra thanks to my favorite business; Across the Street Home and Floral who keeps me stocked in happiness in the form of lovely flowers and candles and decorations and joy.
